NWQ9
PROJECT DETAILS
NWQ9 is a large commercial spec building in the GLC Port development in Salt Lake City. The building is the 9th in the area referred to as the North West Quadrant. This building is all about economy of scale. At nearly one million square feet, every aspect of our installation on this project was designed to meet the challenges created by installation of electrical services over very long distances. NWQ9 has a 5000 amp 480v service. The switchgear has nine cabinet sections with a main ground fault breaker as well as ground faut breakers for each of the tenant feeds. NWQ9 has a dedicated service for a 300amp 480v fire suppression pump that is designed to continue running even after every other element of the electrical service has failed. Careful planning and coordination with the building contractor and the property owners during construction of this project allowed us to find efficiencies in scheduling and process opportunities that helped us complete this project on time and under budget.
