This location has a parts department, offices, and a large service department. Throughout the process of design and construction, our installation focused on efficiently providing for the power needs of specialty equipment while focusing on the safety of the workers in the shop environment. Peterbilt Springville has extensive use of ground-fault circuit interruption for receptacles and equipment in the workshop as well as safe, low-voltage lighting controls. The shop has numerous rooftop blowers that exhaust interior air as well as blow in fresh makeup air. We designed and built an automatic control system to monitor air quality in the shop and control powered ventilation to keep workers healthy. Peterbilt Springville is powered by an 800amp 480v CT service with branch panels and transformers serving the office/retail area, parts department, and shop. Lighting is controlled by occupancy detection and low voltage control switches, with astronomical control of site lighting including pole lights in the parking lot and exterior signage.
